Sriharikota: The launch of the BlueBird-6 satellite — a joint mission by ISRO and the US-based AST SpaceMobile — has been rescheduled to December 21 due to technical reasons.

The satellite is designed to deliver direct 4G/5G broadband connectivity to mobile phones across the world, without the need for traditional cell towers.
BlueBird-6 is one of the largest communication satellites ever launched aboard an Indian rocket and is expected to revolutionize global mobile internet access, especially in remote and underserved regions.
Key Features of the Mission
- One of the heaviest US-built communication satellites to fly on an Indian launch vehicle.
- Enables global mobile broadband roaming, connecting directly to standard smartphones.
- Marks a major milestone in Indo–US technological cooperation in the space sector.
The satellite is part of a constellation aimed at creating space-based mobile broadband coverage throughout the world.
